Jerri Glover is running for Potter County Judge because she believes local government works best when it is focused on people, not politics. The County Judge should represent every resident of Potter County and make decisions based on the rule of law, sound information, and the long-term good of the community.

Experience That Matters

People hear the word "Judge" and picture a courtroom. But the County Judge is really the person who runs the county. It's a management job.I've done that kind of work for years. At Edwards Air Force Base, I managed emergency response and got personnel ready to deploy. I've run my own business. I've worked inside the courts. As County Judge, I'll lead Commissioners Court. I'll handle probate, guardianship, and mental health cases. I'll take charge when an emergency hits. I know what to do.No one else in this race brings all of that. I've done the work before. And when things go sideways, I'll keep my head and get the job done.

Priorities for Potter County

Back at the Table

Potter County has a place on the boards that shape this whole region: the Amarillo Economic Development Commission, regional planning, and the Potter-Randall Appraisal District. We don't always show up. So Amarillo and Randall make the plan, and Potter County signs off after the fact. That's backwards. I'll make sure we're in the room before the deal's done, not ratifying decisions other people already made.

Keep Our Dollars in the County

Potter County pays other counties thousands of dollars a day to house our inmates. We send our paper shredding to a company in Midland. That's our money walking out the door. And the jobs that go with it.I'll bring that work home wherever we can do it ourselves. Local contracts, local jobs, local dollars staying in Potter County.

People Not Politics

I'm a mediator. My whole job is getting people who don't agree to sit down and work it out.A County Judge should do that for everyone. Every resident who comes before this office deserves the same fair hearing, regardless of party and regardless of who they know. Not one party. Not just the well-connected. Everyone.
